XXXV. VBS-Kongress, vom 30.07. - 03.08.2012 in Chemnitz

WELCOME TO THE HOMEPAGE OF THE XXXV. CONVENTION OF PEDAGOGY FOR BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED 2012

After 2003’s convention “Qualities” in Dortmund and 2008's convention “Creating Participation” in Hanover the Association of Pedagogy for the Blind and Visually Impaired (VBS) would like to pursue this path. With this year's motto “Diversity and Quality” the discussion about inclusion should be both continued and brought forward.

To this end, four Symposia covering the following areas are going to be available:

  1. Inclusion – Development of Educational Institutions and Professionalism
  2. (Multi-)Cultural Diversity of Learning Opportunities
  3. Inclusive Living Environments of Adults with Multiple Disabilities
  4. Specific Offers in Education and Rehabilitation

Participation in the convention will be possible either from Monday to Friday (all Symposia), from Monday to Wednesday (Symposia 1 + 2), from Wednesday to Friday (Symposia 3 + 4) or on a daily basis.

Graduate students, students, teacher trainees, graduates of other educational directions as well as individuals involved in research and international projects are invited to introduce their results resp. their research findings as a campus poster-presentation (Bachelor, Master, Diploma, Dissertation, other degrees) at the convention.

The 2012 convention opens up for international participants. Therefore the convention provides events simultaneously translated into English and German.

Furthermore the convention is supposed to become a platform for exchange and interests of visually impaired people and their families.

We are looking forward to meeting you.
